15 months

Joelyn is growing and changing so fast I have no idea how I will keep up! I wanted to post something so I will be able to remember some of it, however, my computer refuses to turn on so there will be no pictures....

I know I have said it before but I love having a one year old! She is learning, and loving it and she is interacting which is just so fun. Seriously...one is the best.

Great things about Jocelyn right now:
Surprise she is sleeping better! Who does that? Jocelyn does now. For the last two weeks she has been sleeping from 8:00-8:30 to around 7:30 or 8am. Amazing. Bliss. Sometimes I wake up before her. This coming from the girl who REFUSED to sleep more then two hours until 9 months.

She is slowly working on the whole walking thing. As of this week she is really liking to stand. Or liking our reaction when she stands. She will stand up then look at us and start clapping. She completely has the balance, now she just needs the desire.

Not so great things about Jocelyn right now:
Tantrums. As of last week- 5/30/11- she literally throws herself on the floor and throws tantrums. The first time was kind of funny, she was on my lap and made sure she carefully got on the floor and laid down then flattened out.

Things Jocelyn has been doing the last few months

Talking

as of 5/30
Snack -sna
out side- side
cheese-cant really spell it
some
ball
duck
kitty cat

as of 6/5
cracker
book
pasi (pacifier) bossie

sound a duck makes (her favorite) quack quack
sound a cat makes- meow meow
sound a dog makes -woof (more her putting her lips together then blowing)
sound a sheep makes -bah

These last few weeks she has really really been picking up on talking. loves to talk, copy what we say and talk on the phone
loves loves loves to talk on the phone. always. she likes the sound of someone on the phone, the way the phone lights up. if she hears the phone ringing she loses it unless she gets to talk.

she loves all animals, sooooo much
loves being outside and loves her friend henry (ne ne)

loves to skype with Nana and Grandma- she sits by the computer and says Nana until she sees them.

So there you have it. My novel with no pictures about the last three months.

i love my 15 month old so much. i never felt i could love a baby so much. but i do. it makes me happy. this is the age that makes you feel you could almost do it again. almost.

The Next Level (fitness related so probably not interesting to most.)

It occurred to me today while I was in spin that I think there is this whole level of energy and power in my that I am just not reaching. That when I think I am pushing myself to my limit (what I think is my limit) and so tired that I could just push a little (though I know it will feel like a lot) more and BAM there it will be and I could be amazing!
There are two reason I have had that I usually do not push until I throw up 1) I work out in the morning while at work and I figure I need to have enough energy to make it through the day and not stink too much. 2) I don't love the idea of throwing up.

But really, in all honesty, I think I am just scared. It is so scary pushing that much because I have no idea what is on the other end of it. Its crazy to think of what I could be or could have been if I would let myself get there. Yet I wonder if I will ever be able to make my mind keep my body going through the pain.....

Easter Weekend

Friday afternoon after all the graduation festivities, we had a family Easter gathering for the family in Utah.

Jocelyn and Grandpa had a good time together.

Jocelyn thought the dye for the eggs was fun, but only when she could stick her hands and other things in it then try to paint the table.

After dying eggs we went to dinner as a family. We thought the two littlest would enjoy being near each other, and they did. They loved sharing their food with each other, showing off their new tricks and talking throughout the whole dinner.

Saturday morning my work was holding their Easter egg hunt. So Sara and my parents brought Jocelyn down to participate. Little did any of us know that apparently this is more of a contest for parents to see how much loot they can get for their kids. (literally some parents were tackling each other for things.)

However, Jocelyn was perfectly content with us holding her at bay until the madness passed. In fact, the candy she found within inches of where we put her down was probably the greatest discovery ever.

And, once she found that one candy she was done. A cute little girl even tried to share some of her candy with her, but Jocelyn did not care. She had her one candy that she found. So, though the hunt was about 30 seconds long, it was fun.

Sadly, my parents had to leave that afternoon since my Grandma needed them back home. But the time we did get to spend with them was wonderful.

Graduation.

On Easter weekend These two graduated from BYU
It was quite the weekend. Who knew graduation could take an entire weekend? Good thing these two love the school they went to! It is also quite fun that their parents are alumni of that school. Quite fun for all involved. They will now be heading to Texas for Stephen to go to law school at UT. Oh yeah, did I mention they are also both brilliant? Because they are. Anyway, I am quite happy for them and will miss them when they move. I am glad we were able to be part of their weekend.

Dark Times

Today marks one of the saddest days ever. Yes, saddest. I had to get a Utah drivers license.
